Dumb**, a "declaration of war" is a formal legal document in international law. It actually originated early in the 20th century. Do you think Alexander had a "declaration of war" delivered to the Persian shah before he invaded Persia (then known as Parthia). Or did he just invade and let the shah figure it out? You can FIGHT a war without ever declaring it. Lincoln NEVER declared war on the South. He declared a state of insurrection existed and told the federal army to go get them. Which took some time, as he had to go through a number of CICs before he found one that understood what the strengths of the Union was vis a vis the Confederacy. Israel is at war, but has NEVER declared that a formal state of war exists. Is this too fine a distinction for that fine mind of yours? As for your comment re. Mr. Bush, if Mr. Bush knows what's happening, he has fooled the majority of Americans because they ain't buying what he's selling.* I assume you have proof that the majority of Ameericans think the Israelis should just lie down and let Hezbollah kill them.
