Lieberman will have to go small if he wants to win in November. He has spent the last six years on the national stage as a "player" and appears to have lost touch with his local roots. In the weeks leading up to the primary I was struck by how physically uncomfortable and awkward he looked while campaigning. His body language was screaming "I am going to lose!" The last politician I saw that uncomfortable was GWB in New Hampshire in 2000. On the weekend leading up to the primary I saw some footage of him trying to connect with voters in the street. You could tell that he knew he was going to lose to McCain and was having a hard time dealing with it.
