You're so naive. In war you have to take into account the fact that the other side gets to make decisions too.

No sh*t!! In warfare that's called attack and counter-attack. No plan survives first contact with the enemy.

But with regard to Muslims rallying against the militants and applauding a muslim who "tattled" on a group of terrorists, THIS IS UNCOMMON, and should be welcomed as a sign that more and more moderate muslims are feeling safe (or brave) enough to condemn the extremists within their religion.

That's how this "war on terror" is going to be won, eventually. But moderate and peaceful muslims taking back control over their religion.

So call that "naive" if you want, but I certainly haven't seen you present a viable alternative.
