Wrong. The British authorities are taking care of their Islamic kooks. Lebanon isn't.

Gosh Steve, you're not keeping up with the press releases. The Israelis are bombing Lebanon to help the government of Lebanon. The US sees Lebanon as an ally and friend which is why we support the helpful gesture on the part of Israel.

We wouldn't bomb Britain because they're not taking care of their business, it would only be to help them.

Addendum.

I should out that helping Britain in this manner is not unprecedented. We helped Queen Elizabeth II out during the Reagan Administration in Grenada where QEII was and still is the official Head of State. Her Majesty and M. Thatcher were quite grateful.
