MM, you are going to laugh...First, I hadn't thought about asking ASK (is that Jeeves...)...

I haven't met Fred Dykes as yet, but do have one of his books...a friend of mine did go to meet him in ID... and hopefully, I will get to do that this fall.

I have been corresponding with Jim McGill for most of this year....He is wonderful via email, and will for sure get to meet him this fall when we go over. It is Jim that will be putting together a book on Tim....and all of have been searching to find where Tim G died...

Goodale was every bit as famous in his day as Kit Carson and Jim Bridger. There just weren't any books about him. Hopefully, there will be.

So yes, if your friend has more clues for me, I'd love to hear them.

I don't have Merrill's book, but have seen the pages from the Overland Journal.

And the wonder of this year, is that we have found descendants from the only child of Tim and his Indian wife....They were looking for us at the same time....It is a marvelous story that will be "out there some day".....
