Re: "Carter not only screwed up Iran allowing the Ayatollas' to rise to power" Don't you think that PUTTING TWO SHAHS IN POWER (the father and the son) so the West could get and keep control of their oil resources, the second time overthrowing their Democratically elected government to force the Shah back in --- might, just might have contributed to those pesky locals not liking us all that much, and casting about for someone to oppose us (even someone as bad as the Theocrats)?
