Do you watch "Deadwood"? My mental image of Tenchy is Wu on "Deadwood" - an imaginary avatar if you will. Wu is the guy in charge of the Chinese in the town, and is also a very black-and-white kind of guy. Anything Swearingen wants is good, and anyone against Swearingen is bad and is Wu's enemy. Life choices are obvious for Wu, and nuance is non-existant.
