It's much more realistic to think that whoever implements the coup that unseats Musharraf will also immediately seize control of the nuclear assets. The idea that WE could quickly move in and secure them is ludicrous - just use our intelligence as to Iraq's WMD's as a reference point.

Or the intelligence on Iran, or North Korea, or just about anyone else you can think of. We were surprised when the Soviet Union collapsed, we were surprised the Shah's government was overthrown.

No one in the west knows that Iran has a nuclear weapon's program. It's a nothing more than hunch, based on less intelligence than we had for Saddam's WMD.
