Sam promised when he gets back to do this.

Thanks a lot. I suspect that Sam had given no thought whatsoever to the environment that would exist if the Musharaff government was overthrown or the means in which "the right thing" would occur. Musharaff won't personally do anything. At best, he would direct someone to handle it. But the overthrow of a government always involves the people in power and those around them trying to figure out how to save their own personal butts. The "right thing to do" will always be, How the hell do I get out of here alive?

These days, i like you, always expect the worst.

I don't expect the worst, I expect the expected. I may plan for worse case, but the expected outcome that if Musharaff goes down, those weapons will be out of control is "expected".

With our US/India agreement we are indirectly but substantially aiding the Indian nuclear weapons program. Which will result in Pakistan seeing the need to increase weapon's inventory. The US is facilitating an arm's race in a region that has a real potential for being overthrown by Islamic fundamentilists.

Other than that, it's a fine policy.
