CBS's story about Bush was correct. Bush definitely used his powerful last name to stay clear of harm's way and to leave the Guard early without having to fulfill his duties. The recordfs for the 1972 8-month stretch were also destroyed. They don't exist. The issue with the Rather story was the phony document. But I'm convinced that document was fed to Rather by Rove. Rove is famous for that kind of thing. The evidence is that the moment the document was in Rather's hands rightwing bloggers were suddenly experts on 1970's font styles. Plus the witness was a rightwing religious zealot, and Rove uses those types for some of his dirty tricks. Like the smear campaign against McCain. All Ralph Reed's wackos doing the dirty work.
