As math junkie correctly posted, Bob Brinker said, "Since this represents a short-term opportunity, and is not part of our long-term investment approach....."

Another example of Brinker's cunning subterfuge. What was the reader supposed to think he meant by "long-term investment approach"??

And as the facts show, he didn't even keep his word with that sentence!! This "short-term opportunity" is ongoing to this day. He even repeated it in every issue of Marketimer until March of 2001, when he said: "We were wrong....". He put the trade on hold, and repeated the advice to hold until March of 2003, when he dropped all reference to the trade. The trades were never closed!

There really should be laws against this sort of deception, IMO.
