That, of course, isn't correct. There were plenty of people who speculated that might happen. IIRC, that was even in the PDB that Bush was presented with a couple of days before it happened. Now if you want to amend your statement to "no one in the administration believed, despite being warned", that would be an accurate statement.

Of course, almost no one here who advocates giving Israel to the Arabs thinks the Middle East will ever get to superpower status. That's just a theory created by those right-wing religious neocons to scare us. Of course, no one thought that flying planes into skyscrapers would ever happen, either.

You guys keep yelling wolf.......the latest was the Mackinac bridge 'scare'. One day it will be the real deal but no one will listen.
