Bush-Cheney UN-regulated the oil industry and many other polluting industries.

That statement either displays profound ignorance or deliberate distortion. The oil companies spend a ton of money on complying with regulations, and even on just meeting reporting requirements. If they lied or made mistakes in the reports, or if they otherwise violated the regulation, it doesn't change the fact that they are heavily regulated.


The best thing to do would be to totally nationalize Big oil


That would be one of the worst things we could do. Nationalization tends to make things worse all around.
