This whole issue about "the long war" is dividing sharply between the true believers and those for whom all the contradictions don't add up to a coherent or logical policy. The numbers split about even on some issues, and more toward the skeptics on others. But as I PM'ed someone the other day, we know Bush won't stop, so the believers will have another 2 1/2 years to see the policy implemented.

The problem is, even if there are no measurable results of any importance by then, they won't stop believing.

I am still waiting for someone to explain who is going to fight WW4, who will pay for it, how we win, and who supports it at home and abroad until the bitter end. The pro-war crowd comes up with blanks on every point so far.
