possibly be some sort of solution to a rather intractable situation. Create a New Israel in Utah. Give Palestine back to the Palestinians. Problem solved! It would be a lot cheaper too.

I respect your opinion and also the suffering of the Lebanese people. But I also respect the Israeli POV and I'd like to see some answer for this mess. Frankly, I don't think there is an answer to this mess. I think Elroy has it very right. Israel will have to be dismantled. Sometimes a mistake can not be fixed even after decades of trying. If the US is so keen on having an independent Jewish state, then I think we need to find some land in the US or help them buy some land to build their own country. I would rather see my tax dollars spent that way than to help Israel continues its role as a regional superpower. This constant fighting over a place that is smaller than NJ is ridiculous.
