How did they know each other?

Karen, this is very simple. This group that was arrested were young Palestinians from Texas. Who do you think they would know? Each other, of course. They probably raised the money from family, friends, etc, to go into the business of reselling these phones overseas. They broke them down because they had to be reset for ME use. They had ME contacts that would buy them. ME terrorists don't need American Cell phones to set off bombs. The number of phones they had leads directly to the above conclusions. Wirelesswonk nailed it. And I said from the start that this was not a terrorist operation.

When I was a sales manager at a car dealership some years back it was not at all uncommon for young Hmong to come in and plunk down 15K in cash for a car. They never borrowed. I'm thinking these immigrants don't live at a level of 150% above their income level like us locals do and they save money and pay cash for things.

We could likely learn a lesson or two from them:)
