Thousands of people saw and heard explosions. All the videos show massive detonations. The seismic evidence shows huge shock waves prior to collapse. It is likely that what was heard was the floors above the impact site failing and falling to lower floors just below the impact site. Some debris would have fallen through the elevator shafts to the bottom. It was the loss of these floors that gave the sides of the building the freedom to flex and buckle, so the building lost it's verticle orientation a dozen or so seconds later. TP
