08/23/2006 Deutsche Bank said it believes IC (integrated circuit) utilization rates have peaked for this cycle and will start to slow in the fourth quarter and into 2007. "We believe semis equipment order rates will correlate with this," said analyst Nicolas Gaudois. "From reasonably low cycle peak levels however, we would only expect a mild cyclical correction to follow." Deutsche has a neutral rating on the global semiconductor sector, with a hold rating on STMicro and ASML.
