Maybe tactically Israel might have gone for "a 70% solution acted on immediately and violently", but operationally or strategically they didn't.

It is the moral and psychological victory. After all I do not believe that war produces winners only losers. My reasoning is that is on person dies (especially civilian)the war is lost. However, to be able to stand up to the ME supper power and survive, that is a victory. Think of the other Arabs that fought Israel with their large armies and failed. Do not forget that Israel is a terrorist state that terrorizes its neighbors. The Arabs are afraid of Israel and its might. A little militia was able to stop it, which tells you something. It tells me Israel is no longer the supper power that it is and it better sit down and negotiate with its neighbors.
