HUI up significantly in the face of gold drop is unequivocally bullish. Perhaps, dollar sales cannot be transferred intraday to gold buys, particularly if the buyers are going to accumulate physical rather than paper gold.

Let's see what trend develops over the next few days.

The failure of gold to rally today despite a big drop in the dollar is unequivocally bearish and far more important than fickle sentiment indicators IMHO.

Do beware of "excess" short action on the COMEX - ever since Aug 3 or so, the relative gaps between spot and cash are much higher than normal. Much more than "normal" selling pressure...
