The NY Times is our finest newspaper hands-down and has been for a long-long time. They do not spin they report. Why does the rightwing smear it? Because before the war Cheney and Rove hoodwinked Judith Miller of the Ny Times into writing up stories using phony intel on WMD and Al Qaida connections. The same pohony intel was used to hoodwink congress and the UN. So the NY Times is furious about that and will never believe Bushies again. Also, Bushies know that Bush's domestic eavesdropping is illegal and unethical, and avoiding FISA courts and congress has nothing to do with fighting terrorism and everything to do with gross illegal abuses of power. All impeachable offenses. All of the above is, and the NY Times are first-hand witnesses. This is mostly about whether Bush survives his second term or goes the way of Nixon.
