I got one out of two right by consulting dictionary.com. They didn't mention that definition of bluenose.

GWN, Thank you for taking the time to explain that. I actually did know the meaning of those terms from spending much of my TV viewing time on the Military, History, and Discovery channels. I just thought I would dumb down the high level of discussion to my low level of learning, by analogizing those very real accomplishments to some happy hour inventions. BTW, you are a remarkably generous guy.
