Hey Mindmeld, have you noticed that the liberals on this thread are ready to abandon Israel?

Wrong again. We are discussing moving it. Do you have a problem with that? If so, can you list your reasons for opposing? TIA.

I haven't kept up with the thread, but that would not surprise me one bit. It's real easy to blame Israel for being heavy handed. But for all those who cast stones, let's think about a couple things:
1) Who started this war? Hezbollah firing rockets into Israel and kidnapping two Israeli soldiers...completely unprovoked.
2) What would Americans do if Mexico started firing rockets into the US and killing and kidnapping civilians and border guards? We'd flatten Mexico. You bet we would.

Every country has a right to sovereignty without constant harrassment by murderous bastards like Hezbollah. What's more is that everyone knows that Hezbollah is just an Iranian puppet organization. And this latest war was all about Iran trying to divert attention from their building a nuclear bomb.

Should we feel sorry for Lebanon? For the civilians, yes. But why are they supporting an organization they know is linked to Iran and which is bringing them utter misery? It seems self-defeating to me. They were on the road to Democracy and freedom and they've allowed Hezbollah to set them back decades. What a pity and what stupidity on their part. If I was Lebanese, I'd be pissed as hell at my government for not securing our borders and either co-opting Hezbollah into the national army or disarming them, if they refuse. It's a no brainer.

At the end of the day, this is the number one problem with Muslims in the Middle East. They will never achieve sovereignty, Democracy, and freedom, because they don't know how to govern themselves.

Liberals? What does partisan politics have to do with the USA focusing on itself and not other country's problems?
