Proof is a tough thing to find on something as squishy as a religious belief. Unless Bush comes right out and says it- where someone can catch him on tape (and why would he) this is all we're likely to get. It's an important issue- but it's hard to deal with specifically because there is a high bar, and presumably Bush plays that bar. And he's done a grand job doing it.

Doesn't mean they aren't there, however.

You could hardly expect the POTUS to openly espouse these views; you have to read between the lines.

I think this topic may be better discussed on another thread than VFC, though.
