"religious history," It ain't exactly just 'history' if it's still with us today, still influencing events 'round the world. "I only know those barbarians have sworn to destroy the West" Lot's 'o people say they want lot's 'o things --- but that doesn't mean they always get their wishes. (Remember the global Communist threat? The 'Red Peril' that was going to "bury Capitalism"? Didn't work out so well for 'em, now did it?) And, so long as we are not stupid, there is little possibility that Islamic fundamentalism is going to 'bury' the West EITHER.
