The earth-formation time continuum is a conundrum. Remember Einstein and relativity physics; it was suggested that time is a dependent/relative variable and not a universal constant -- gravitational fields, relative velocity, etc. So again, there may “biblical relativity” -- who knows? It is amazing how the brain can compensate for neurological loss. Speaking of depth perception, my parents had a friend (totally blind in one glass eye); he was an accomplished artist with watercolors that hung in New York's Metropolitan Museum. Such visual perception, with no depth of field in the conventional sense, seems unbelievable to me. With the retinal detachment be sure you verified the hopelessness at a major, teaching, hospital and be very-very reluctant to accept irreversibility without a fight.
