"People have tendency not to believe something that has not been proved,"

Good for them!

"but will turn around and believe every aspect of a religion, regardless of which one it is."

Well... religions *are* about faith. SOME THINGS are forever beyond the practical reach of science.

"It seems that scientists, even with a believable theory, is not satisfied and keeps on digging for the final truth,"

Not sure there is a 'final truth'... but it sure makes for a fun chase! (In any event, it's normal and to be expected for theories to fall by the wayside as better evidence, better ideas, come in....)

"For many, religion is like a security blanket."

True enough... and security is a good thing!
