In what world is it acceptable for one country to sit back and do nothing when terrorists are attacking your country and kidnapping your people? Why is the choice all out war or nothing for you? It's no accident that Lebanon's government sat back and did nothing. At any point in the last 30 days they could have stood up and said they will interceded on behalf of the Lebanese civilians and contain Hezbollah, but they didn't. have to ask yourself why the Lebanese government never once offered to stop the violence. They can't. Its as simple as that. If the regional superpower Israel couldn't contain Hezbollah, what makes you think the puny Lebanese army could? Given that fact, it isn't any wonder that Israel raged through the entire country going after Hezbollah everywhere they could find them. IN the mean time, Hezbollah hid in homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques. There are four reasons why Israel "raged through" Lebanon: 1) They could. 2) Ehud Olmert had to make a name for himself and get out from under the shadow of Sharon. 3) Because it was planned between Bush and them and it was to remind the Arabs how powerful Israel is. 4) It was intended to curtail the influence of Syria and Iran within the region. Why don't you ask the question that is the elephant in the room? Why didn't Hezbollah care more about it's own people and avoided mixing with civilians to spare them the brunt of the attacks? Hezbollah did not start this war.......Israel and Hezbollah have been skirmishing back and forth since Israel withdrew from Lebanon in 2000. Apparently, by kidnapping two soldiers, Hezbollah was hoping to do another exchange of prisoners....Israel has had two Lebanese in their prisons for 20 years. No one including Hezbollah expected the kind of reaction the kidnapping engendered from Israel. Unfortunately, not many people understand the mindset of the neocons.I'll answer for you. They are propaganda masters and they prey on the feelings of people exactly like you to get you on their side and off the side of the people that are actually in the right of it. Who told you that I am on the side of Hezbollah? I am on the side of the Lebanese people who got screwed by this war. I could give two craps for either Hezbollah or Israel. They are both out of control and need to be taken to the woodshed. The Israelis were attacked. Never forget that. They have a right to eliminate a group of people who started a war. BS. You are sick with hate and aggression. My God weeps for the Lebanese people. Who does your God weep for?
