I meant food, but I do buy almost nothing from the PRC. Because of my allergy to corn products we eat almost no prepared food- and so I know the source for almost everything we eat. We eat mostly US produce, and much of that is locally grown. Fresh garlic grows near us- and we use only that garlic. When I buy any frozen product I look for the source of the food- most of the time that will be labled (for example mixed veg might say "May contain produce from Mexico, China, Chile"). If a product doesn't have a single source country that I would buy from, I don't buy the product. We've completely quit using mandarin oranges and bamboo shoots because I haven't been able to find any sources other than the PRC. All the meat we eat, and we eat very little, is grown in the US organically, from suppliers I approve of- same with the milk we drink, and the cheese we eat.

We eat some artisanal prodcucts from France and Spain but I would really doubt their relatively few ingredients come from China. With food I do not buy from the PRC because i do not trust the safety of the food supply.

As for non-food items I have not forgiven the PRC for Tibet, so I don't buy for them for that reason, and also because i want to keep Americans employed in the few factory jobs we have left. Where it is possible to buy made in America- that's what I buy.
