That's exactly what we did.
Especially after Kevin read the note he wrote and placed in the dog's partially covered grave in the back yard.

Man that was a tough one. The kid wrote straight from the heart. Him and the dog were best friends. I think this is what hurt the most.

Then there was Margaret's sobbing and hundred questions. She could see right through the sugar coated bullshit we were telling her.

Anyway, no more dogs for a while.
I'm tired of digging these fuggin holes.

There are so many times where I think I see or hear him in his usual spots in the house. Even the cat seems to miss him.
