Fox News gets high ratings because they monopolize the rightwingers. That's a couple million viewers. B ut it hasn't been doing rightwing politicians any good, has it? Besides, today on Shep Smith I heard him discussing Iraq with Bill Kristol and they both admitted it was a lost cause, and that the Lebanon war was a fiasco too. Basically both seemed to be admitting we as a country need to get back to serious diplomacy instead of the Bush-Cheney fantasy of conquering every country who doesn't agree with us. As for harboring terrorists as a reason to invade and attack, Bush's best friends the Saudis and Pakistanis do it all the time, so Bush is full of BS there.
