The interesting thing here on SHLD is the possibility of a far bigger H+S top: it's making the top of the right shoulder now. Mildly downsloping neckline around the 135 area.

Would need reversal on Thursday's earnings, I guess, in both cases. Otherwise, it's new SHLD highs.

OK..I'm clear on your definition of gaps, Shack.

My definition and that of classic TA just happen to differ from yours....

I quote from E&M (went through this with Ray a while back():

"GAPS on daily charts are produced when the lowest price at which a certain stock is traded on any one day is higher than the highest price at which it was traded on the preceding day." (That's a gap up....gap down: change
to.....highest.....lower...lowest)

Not a word about opening or closing prices....

I'll stick with that, thank you..and no gap in SHLD yesterday....

He and I see Gaps differently too. I use your Close / Open rule.

MC is using the E&M Definition. I found a url for the explanation.
