"the cease fire in mid east is designed to give time to re-arm and go to Plan B imo. Plan A failed"

What happened in the past months is a game changer. The world has just gotten much more dangerous as the playing field is suddenly much more level. It doesn't just affect Israel but just as much the U.S. if not more so.

It was symbolic that Russian weapons demolished the key Israeli strategic tool of the more recent wars, the tank. This will help their arms industry and I am quite certain that the Chinese looked on with intense interest.

Plan B is likely to be much more defensive than offensive. The only other choice is to go nuclear but I am sure we have rational folks in power, or do we? One might HAVE to be a nuclear power in order to have a deterrent... what a novel thought!

The next moves on the chessboard should show us who the real nutcases are.
