So Israel's policy of trying to split the Lebanese population away from Hizbullah by saying(through military action) that if you want air conditioning, jobs, motor roads, etc. then get rid of Hizbullah hasn't worked.

Sure has gotten rid of the tourists...

Do you think Hizbullah, should they gain full control over Lebanon, will require swimmers to become "burkha bathing beauties"?

And btw, don't you think the UN, and international community, bears much of the blame for this?

After all, they permitted Syria and Iran to wage a proxy war against Lebanon via Hizbullah.

One thing is sure IMO.. I don't think the Israelis are going to tolerate an Islamic State on their border fully mobilized to perpetuate a war of extermination against them. This would be essentially the equivalent of putting their backs against the wall.

Which might suggest this latest conflict was only the opening round.

The UN had better pressure Lebanon to disarm Hizbullah, or they are going to get caught in the middle of a serious regional war.
