Lester Brown is at World Watch Institute - very well known and I would trust his facts if not always agreeing with his opinions. Corn based ethanol fuel really doesn't make sense on any large scale except as an additive. Because of the energy required to produce it - apart from any other issues that he discusses. Don't know about the numbers of refineries being built in Iowa or their capacity. Just thought would be useful for people thinking that might be something to invest in. Biofuel can be part of the solution... see the latest special issue of Scientific American.
