It is an evil MSM plot, haven't you heard? Even though every word Bush utters is faithfully reproduced in the press and his minions get many, many hours on the talk shows, the growing public dislike for him is a mental deficiency suffered by people who don't grasp the truth (as reported by Fox, National Review and the Weekly Standard, whose combined viewers and readership can't compete with commercial networks - another plot, no doubt, it couldn't be that most people choose not to drown in partisan media). I still refer to it as Blatant Denial Syndrome, the unwillingness to accept the clear and proven fact that Bush and his policies do not and cannot command the majority support of the American electorate. Blaming that on some mental fault is just childish.

what happened since GWB's 90%+ approval rating to give all those folks BDS BDS was observable long before GWB's approval rating slipped and long before it was given that label. I doubt that anyone who didn't have BDS when his ratings were high has it now. Derangement not something that you can "catch." The folks who are producing the drop in popularity are doing so for rational reasons. And those with BDS have the added benefit of being able to cloak it with rational arguments. As for the syndrome, in general, as we've discussed on this thread before, it applies to politicians other than Bush.
