I was just reflecting on the presidents in my lifetime, and none escaped their own Derangement Syndrome except Ford and Bush, Sr., who both suffered from an amiable doofus syndrome. The rest (JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Clinton and now GWB) had some serious screamers on their case from the beginning. Granted I was only a baby when JFK was in office but bad feelings about him lingered in Teas long after that.

At the same time, each of those presidents did a lot to justify their bashers. I see no difference now.
