Someone is holding all those 5% fixed mortgages from 2003 in an inflationary environment. Fannie Mae, Asians ?

I believe a repeat of that is possible.
It is not what the markets should do but what they are doing.
If 8-10% inflation will not lift yields past 5.50 what will ?

What is to prevent Fannie Mae from underwriting money losing mortgages ? Fannie Mae is a black hole.
