I wouldn't use active. I see seeking as active, and I wouldn't use it.

I don't see that as seeking it. That's accepting it. It's an active versus passive thing. I don't find the active verb appropriate. Maybe that is what Penni had in mind, but it doesn't jibe with what I've seen, and I didn't get that from her quote.

So, what I was trying to say is that "seeking"- your word, is active, and I don't see it that way. Accepting is what I see this community doing- whether they are "hard" or "soft"- and I see that as more passive.
