You silly vegan you.

:)

I researched it well from pressing need.

Many have this need, few believe it works, and few have the belief to put energy into applying it. If they did I think they would be happily surprised. I was shocked to see the results of good diet. You could measure it with a tape, feel it in your step. See it in your test results. It has to prolong life and increase enjoyment thereof.

I take green supps. In reading Sahelian I was shocked to find the number and quality of vitamins in green stuff and spirulina. It reads like a what's what of necessary vitamins and minerals... and it HAS to be more bioavailable than a multivitamin. I just draw afine line at over extended claims... they have to be hooey... on the other hand if they are 10% true.. the old grain of truth thingie.. I am staking a claim on Lake Klamath next week.. and setting up a packaging plant the week after. You are closer... how long to drive out there?

That much is in the book. (bioavailability of pill sources of vits versus foods sources...) Natural sources or food sources are from 2 to 1000 times more bioavailable than the vitamin pills. IF you don't believe the 1000, then take a look at the absorption of b12 in a pill form (100 to 500th of what you take.. perhaps..) and take a look at what is in food that gives you "enough" ...

(.. if an only iff you are eating loads of that food.. and that is the rub... who can eat 2 lbs of steak a day and not suffer the other effects of it..? so.. one must either "fish-out" or chew on supps..) Over 50 I would take b12 supps. Hoffman thot no supps ... but caved in with the health stats and advised the FDA to fortify white bread with B vitamins. Since that date the cancer and HD curve has decreased markedly. Has to be the most resounding endorsement of a supplementation program since Moses brought the tablest down from the mountain and said "Supplement this ".. fortification IS supplementation and this program in bread and mill with B in bread and D in milk is keeping the population of the G7 countries from much disease. nO MD in his right mind would deny that.

People who will not take vitamins over the age of 50, are modern day science ostriches... our diet is no longer cave man healthy.. we ain't doin that.. and the poison load of vitamin killers is major.. what to do? wEll the bottle of vits is an interim fix that makes sense until we can figure something else out that will satisfy the purists other than suffer suffer suffer...

Those who don't believe the vitamin thing, and who think Roger Williams and Linus Pauling (two Nobels) were fuddy duddies.. then think on this... you are taking vitamins every day that are not natural to the food. read the label. what does the word fortified mean? think... if that is true.... then.... and if you still think no health benefit.. then try doing without them for a while. Boil all your food five times.. then eat it.. call me in amonth.. no wait have a friend do that, you will be too weak to hold the handset..

ok...

more on spirulina.. repost of link ... I will concede it has many vits in it.. this is an interesing source of them..

Stuff that is agreeable in the claim department

Spirulina platensis, a blue-green alga (photosynthesizing cyanobacterium) has diverse biological activity. Due to high content of highly valuable proteins, amino acids, vitamins, beta-carotene and other pigments, mineral substances, fatty acids and polysaccharides, spirulina has been found suitable for use as bioactive additive. Spirulina produces an immunostimulating effect by enhancing the resistance of humans, mammals, chickens and fish to infections, the capacity of influencing hemopoiesis (blood formation), stimulating the production of antibodies and cytokines. Under the influence of spirulina, macrophages, T and B cells are activated. Spirulina sulfolipids have proved to be effective against HIV. Preparations obtained from SP biomass have also been found active against herpes virus, cytomegalovirus, influenza virus, etc. Spirulina preparations are regarded as functional products contributing to the preservation of the resident intestinal microflora, especially lactic acid bacilli and bifidobacteria, and to a decrease in the level of Candida albicans. The biological activity of spirulina with respect to microorganisms holds good promise for using these microalgae as components of culture media.

If the above is true about intestinal culture promotion.. (something meat destroys if its "inorganic" by its antibiotic load..) then spirulina should fight cholesterol too.. as probiotics.. will stimulate movement of fat through the intestine..
