If they have such a massive multi-company price-fixing scheme, why are their current margins only about average, and there margins as recently as 2002 noticeably below average? Its possible that they are colluding thieves, but if they are they are incompetent thieves. Well not really even incompetent thieves. Charging a lot for something, even actual price fixing, isn't theft, unless perhaps there holding a gun to you head to make you buy their product. But even if it was theft, this group would have to be both extremely competent and organizing a keeping secret a huge conspiracy, and massively incompetent at actually running the conspiracy. That would be quite an unusual combination.
