If Lebanon can't do the job, then Israel will.
Hezbollah created, trained, and armed it's militia under the watchfull eye of Israel during their long occupation.

Why is the choice all out war or nothing for you?

Because I have already realized that these people are in all out war against us and it would be folly for us to think we should us restraint against an enemy that uses every power they have to hurt us.

Whose "these people"? The Japanese? You sound like someone from WW II.

They can't. Its as simple as that. If the regional superpower Israel couldn't contain Hezbollah, what makes you think the puny Lebanese army could?

I agree with you. So if Lebanon, a so-called sovereign nation, cannot govern and protect its people and ensure that war is not waged against its neighbor from their lands, then you simply cannot blame Israel for taking matters in their own hands. If Lebanon can't do the job, then Israel will.

Yes, I damn can. Israel has no right violating the sovereignty of a much smaller country that can't defend itself. Again, Israel is a bully. When did Americans start liking bullies? I thought we fought against Hitler, the primo bully. You've got everything turned upside down and aren't willing to look at the facts. The ultimate fact is that significant portions of Lebanon are destroyed and it is in debt up to its eyeballs. For what? It was a fledging democracy, and just a year ago, Bush was praising its merits. Now, after Israel embarrassed itself in a one month display of bloated arrogance and aggressive militarism, Hezbollah is bigger and stronger and more favored in the Arab world than ever before. And if you can imagine, the US and Israel are hated even more then they were before the war.

Such craziness........such stupidity!
