If I recall correctly, that supposed triangle had wave C traveling beyond wave A... or something like that. I don't believe there is such a thing. There are triangles which are symmetric, ascending, descending -- and in none of them C goes beyond A, and D beyond B and E beyond C.

In a Broadening triangle some of the above may happen, but then it should look like it is broadening -- and not like a wedge. If people on this thread want to communicate we need to agree on these basic definitions... which, to my knowledge, happen to be standard both for EW and classic TA.

Anyway, a more interesting question is -- why is it so hard to find a good bullish IT view? There is no doubt that a rally to new highs is possible from here... Why is it so hard to find a good immediately bullish count to support that? Maybe because the advance from the mid-June low up to the early July high was such an obvious three-waver.....
