Not exactly. I was trying to point out that other hypothesis exist and that it's dumb to prefer one over the other when the evidence to support such a preference has been destroyed. To base such a preference on the word of someone making the claim thermite is a common demolition explosive is ludicrous, as thermite is neither an explosive nor is it commonly used in demolitions.

How do you know the alleged pools were steel?

Why would you assume that even if it was steel, the source was structural columns and not either building furnishings, or sheet metal wall studs which were in direct contact with sulfur containing drywall?

How large were these alleged pools of whatever? Was it 100 pounds or 100 tons?

That you don't have the answers to any key questions should be a cause for justifiable indignation, not an excuse to make foolish assumptions, then treat such resulting foolish assumptions as the last word on the subject.
