<The deal is valued
according to Canaccord analyst Stephen Butler at
roughly U.S. $515 million and Butler suggests that the
current resource totals about 2.04 million ounces of
which about 1.4 million ounces are in the M&I category.
There are suggestions though, that seeing as the resource
number hasn’t been updated in 18 months, this
number could be a lot higher than that today.>

Okay good. But WGDF has more ounces by quite a bit and they are in the two good categories also. Also WGDF is fully permitted to mine and they are obtaining financing ASAP and they have a ton of infrastructure in place. They need to build a new leach pad not a whole new mine.

So WGDF is my pick even though the ounces are more expensive. There are more of them and they are in the US and they are ready to roll by late 2007 or early 2008.

< Feasibility Study Completed

- Proven and Probable reserves of 2.36 million ounces of gold and
Measured and Indicated resources of 1.25 million ounces(1)
- Excellent potential to increase resources
- Mesquite Mine is an extremely rare permitted multi-million ounce U.S.
gold reserve, one of only a handful of such opportunities in the U.S.
- Planning average annual production of 165,000 ounces of gold
commencing April 2008>>>

WGDF needs to triple from here IMO without further increase in POG.

Marcos, I did the same thing as you with Viceroy -- looked at it at $4 but by the time I was done it was $5 and seemed to expansive, then again at $6 while it made $7, and then didn't happen to check again at the dips. Oh well.

Yes, CC did mention ANO.TO as a possible TO candidate. They do have a strategic alliance and a bunch of JVs with Rio Tinto, making them the logical candidate. I'll be disappointed if it isn't for at least double the current pps though.

I bought a little of Claude's VYE around 1.60 and got tired of it, sold
at small profit.

Congrats to those who held on, and especially to Claude who
reco'd it.
