BINGO! Friedman hits the bullseye yet again. Maybe we should send him a flood of emails asking him to run for President. He's long been one of the few voices of reason around the Middle East as well as energy independence. I think he has more experience in the ME than anyone in the government currently. Plus, he's what he calls a neo-green. I'm all for it.

I’m not sure yet who’s the winner in the war between Hezbollah and Israel, but I know who’s the big loser: Iran’s taxpayers. What a bunch of suckers.


Finally, an article from Friedman I like. One objection: the lumping of Syria and Iran together. Iran is much more advanced than Syria; its population much better educated. I continue to believe that if left to its own devices it would become free.
