I submit that it's not a problem. Libertarianism is about liberty. Everything else is periphery.

"Liberty" strikes me as one of those words, like "freedom" as enunciated by the Bush folk, which means everything and nothing.

There are those interminable discussions which follow concerning the places in the social fabric when one person's liberty violates another's; when one person's violates the collective, etc.

And some liberties are more important than other liberties.

And which of those are core and which periphery.

Sounds like 19th century liberalism to me. And with the same philosophical problems.
