Yet fellow midwestern city Chicago to me seems to have just about the most vibrant, clean and interesting downtown of any large city in the country. The merging of the skyline, the loop, architecture and waterfront are second to none in this country and like San Francisco made the best use of its' location..

All of Michigan has sucked at the teet of the auto industry and SE MI especially; municipalities, unions, businesses all along the supply chains. They all got fat and some got corrupt.

Great post. The above is especially true.
