Peter, I had never heard of him until I researched for the German that Geoff came up with. Both of them added a lot to our victory over the British.

Because of the timing, they would probably be the first new citizens of the United States of America.

I remember my little brother mentioning him. I think he learned about him in school so he can't be that obscure. I think it was the name that made my brother remember him, I guess it was different enough from the other Revolutionary war figures that it stood out in his mind.
