If the McCain-Kerry CAFE standards bill had been allowed to pass plus real strong clean energy bills and other reasonable conservation measures, we could kiss off the Arabs and their oil completely in about 10 years. And we'd save more oil than is in all of Alaska at the same time. Plus our air would be cleaner so our kids and grandkids wouldn't develop lung cancer. Under Bush, Texas became the #1 most polluted state in the nation, and the most crooked.
